Jimmy, originally from Cleveland, but with strong Clare roots, has been living, playing & teaching music in & around Boston for over 30 years. Jimmy, along with Dylan, the box player Dan Gurney, & John, host The Druid’s St. Stephen’s Day session – always a day (& night!) of high jinks! PJ Hernon recorded the first tune as Joe Derrane’s, who in turn recorded it as Clancy’s Fancy under Boston’s Copley Record label in the 1940’s. The lads frequently play The Killarney Boys of Pleasure together, while the New York accordionist John Nolan composed The Boogie Reel.

Absolutely sensational - love the generally low-end tones and planxty-esque set up, but most of all the incredible energy of it! Wish more instrumental trad was like this, love the fact that it's recorded live too. Prangman
