Born to Irish parents in Bedford, England, Kathleen is a renowned exponent of the whistle & regular at The Druid sessions. Kathleen picked up Darby the Driver from the flute playing of Catherine McEvoy & The Humours of Ballingarry from the playing of P.J. Crotty & James Cullinan. Dooney Rock is a Sean Ryan composition learnt from Tulla concertina player Mary MacNamara.
